With my real challenge to start soon enough I´m hanging out here with Klaus, an old friend of mine enjoying some hot days in the south of France. Together with his fiancée he has a little boy of 15 months (which I yet need to meet) and lives in cozy house. Montpellier is just amazing. The weather, the sea, the flora & fauna, the food, the French people and their way of life - I don´t know where to stop. Might be one of the top areas in Europe to live in provided you manage to create an income. Although I can´t have a proper conversation in French, the 3 years I took it in school are enough to ask for directions, opening hours and such. In fact, I do enjoy to apply those bits and my attempts are received very friendly. It would be quite doable to build on that...

And here another epic remix of a trance dinosaur by deadmau5.
He just has the ability to make things sound incredibly beautiful.

Energy 52 - Café Del Mar
I know that my favourite trance tune gets remixed over and over for more than 15 years and yet, I was caught by surprise by Deadmau5' progressive version. Thus, I use this opportunity and put together a list of remixes I like best - here the full one.
1. DJ Kid Paul Mix (1993)

2. Peace Mix (1993)

3. Porte De Bagnolet Mix (1993)

4. Sven Väth Remix (1996)

5. Michael Woods Remix (2002)

6. Deadmau5 Remix (2008)

I'm sure there will be more to come in the future ;) By the way, according to wikipedia this classical piece sparked the initial version - beautiful.
Wim Mertens - Struggle for Pleasure (1983)

El Camino
With my boot camp coming to a close now, my plan prior to the start of the Camino de Santiago is put together. Preparations are mostly done with only a few things left. The rule of thumb is to carry no more than 10kg. Hence, it is key to use them wisely. ;)
- I´ll visit my brother and afterwards, I´ll stay with my parents for some more days.
- Flying to Montpellier on August 20th building my base camp at a friend´s place.
- Via Andorra and Lourdes I´ll make my way through the Pyrenees beginning of September toward Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port which marks the beginning of the 830 km pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
- As a little bonus track, I´ll continue walking to Fisterra and via Muxía back to Santiago.
In total, it sums up to ~900km for which I reckon 35 - 40 days are required.

Calibre - Don´t Mind EP
After having lived in Ireland for four years I was quite surprised to learn that Calibre is Irish. I didn´t hear too many D&B tracks in Dublin, let alone tunes as fine as these - what a tragedy. ;)
1. Trying To Remember

2. Oh Please

3. U Could Dance

and particularly,
4. Don´t Mind

Moby - 18
I know we all know this tune for ages but I just can´t get over it - especially since I have seen Earthlings.
Check its power at 07:58 - I promise you don´t have to look at anything you don´t want to see, even if you rather would like to remain ignorant...
For everybody else please do check out this documentary. If everybody on our planet had to watch one film, this one would have to be it.
Please visit http://veg-tv.info/Earthlings/ for more information or subtitles in other languages.

Sweet Genesis Vs Lady Gaga - Just Dance Vs. Sweet Dreams
I haven´t really heard any good remix of possibly my absolute favourite tune of the eighties. Until yesterday, when I was quite blown away on the dance floor from this mash up, check it out.

Moderat - A New Error
Saying Hello with this divine, minimalist tune shown to me by the God of Sound himself - thanks buddy, I would have never come across them geezers! ;) May it be a good omen for my new venture - here we go.
